I’ve always been a good girl. I listened to my parents, worked hard in school, and was always home by curfew. I should be away at college, but a bad investment left my college fund cleared out. I’m done chasing my parents’ pride and affection. Why should I when I’m barely living off my paycheck and college feels like a point in the distance I’ll never reach?
